Why nervous system fights you
Every desire we have is meant to push us into action, to improve our lives, expand who we are, and allow us to experience more joy and freedom.
But as a conscious creator, the moment you start calling in more, you’re often met with intense negativity—so much that it makes you question whether to keep going at all. Why is that? And why is it so universal?
What if this “low point” is actually where your power begins? After this video, you’ll never see it the same way again.
What you think is resistance is actually protection — your nervous system stepping in with its programs to keep you safe.
Your nervous system is wired in early life, and it is trained to keep you alive. Everything new is unfamiliar and is seen as dangerous, because it opens you up to unforeseen risks, vulnerabilities and it also challenges the old story you’ve lived by until now.
You know, the story that created subconscious mechanisms that kept you alive. So you see how the idea of suddenly losing them could feel threatening to your nervous system in manifesting. It’s like ridding it of its arms.
Your nervous system wants you to succeed always, allowing only safe bets, but the truth is that we don’t really learn much from success, we learn the most from mistakes.
This is why we try new things and try to improve our lives. You’re manifesting more money, dream relationship and open yourself up to new possibilities that you didn’t believe in previously.
But before your nervous system allows that change to take place, it will activate protective mechanisms that can look like self-sabotage, so that you let go, move on, give up, and return to what is known and familiar. And preditictable.
Your point of acceleration
Your lowest emotional points aren’t slowing you down — they’re what create the speed.
These ups and downs actually help you get there faster. By not moving in a straight line but instead rising and falling like a wave, you build the momentum needed to reach your destination more quickly.
What looks like a setback, strong inconvenience, is actually part of the process helping you move forward. So when in doubt, zoom out, and remember — nothing goes up in a straight line.
That dip may be exactly what’s accelerating your progress, even if it doesn’t feel like it in the moment.
The low point you experience is actually your point of acceleration.
So here is why negative emotions actually mean you’re expanding, not failing:
What you feel comes up to the surface because you’re ready — you now have the capacity to feel it. Previously, it may have been dormant, buried somewhere in your body, quietly affecting you because you didn’t have that capacity. When you dip your toes in a pool of new possibilities, the parts of you that don’t align with them begin to surface so they can be released.
The more you feel, the more you expand — and the intensity of those feelings is proof of that. It’s a good thing. It sets you free, layer by layer.

Build it up gradually
So how do your manifestation techniques trigger your nervous system response?
Let me illustrate this with a personal story about my lower back injury — sciatica.
I was in a lot of pain, and I was advised to go to the gym and strengthen my muscles. So I started lifting weights with a personal trainer and physiotherapist and… it got worse. Because my brain had associated movement with pain, it reacted by flaring up even more.
It wasn’t until I went back to basics — moving only within a pain-free range — that I was able to teach my brain that movement doesn’t equal pain. Gradually, I increased that range until I could return to the gym, build strength properly, and eventually eliminate the issue altogether.
Now, in this example, me going straight to the gym is like you jumping into robotic affirmations, visualising your dream life, or scripting your ideal reality.
It’s too much for your nervous system in manifesting to accept, so it reacts. And instead of helping, it actually makes things worse.
Too much too fast = nervous system rejection
Affirmations like “I am rich”, “She loves me”, or “He is my husband and he cherishes me” are like lifting heavy weights while injured. They can trigger resistance rather than build belief.
So instead, you need to build your nervous system’s capacity gradually — starting with something that doesn’t trigger a visceral reaction in your body.
Begin with something that already feels true
Instead of jumping straight to “I am rich” or “Money comes easily to me”, begin with something that already feels true:
- “I can afford groceries.”
- “I have no trouble paying my rent.”
- “I can afford to go on holiday.”
- “Having money makes me feel safe.”
- “Financial stability allows me to relax.”
If none of these give you a strong reaction in your body, from there, you build.
As your nervous system accepts each level, you expand into the next — until statements like “Money flows easily to me” or “I feel wealthy and secure” begin to feel natural rather than dangerous.
So apply this to anything you’re trying to manifest. If you feel resistance, you’re going too far, too fast.
Start where you are, and build from there.
The change is on the way
We often think we’re focusing on what we want, but in reality, we’re focusing on the lack of it.
Are you trying to manifest more money because you want to feel free, abundant, and joyful — or because you feel miserable without it?
All this means one thing to your nervous system — leaving the comfort zone, exposing your belly, and becoming susceptible to unforeseen risks. And it will fight you to death to avoid that. You cannot stop this, but you can see it for what it is—a normal stage of change and proof that the change IS occurring.
That’s why I focus so much on nervous system and somatic work. Every time you allow yourself to feel an emotion without panicking, you teach your body that it is safe.
And when your body feels safe, receiving becomes easier.
