Chasing dopamine through education
You want to feel good, yes? Every desire we have is meant to make us feel better, safer, happier, more peaceful. And since feeling lives in the body, why are you trying to get there with your mind?
I’ve been there—feeling empowered for five minutes, then immediately needing more content to feel like I’m making progress. It’s a loop designed for your consumption that’s luring you in with clickbait. Today, I’m showing you why you must stop consuming if you actually want to create and manifest.
Because when you’re watching more, you’re not learning; you’re just chasing a dopamine spike while your ‘Watch Later’ list becomes a graveyard of unapplied knowledge.
And you’re gonna like it because it actually requires LESS work from you.
Content consumption = flight response
When you consume, you don’t create. This causes misalignment and anxiety born from overstimulation and lack of creative self-expression. You aren’t a container for info; you’re a creative force that needs to be expressed in a way unique to you and you alone. You already know enough. It’s time to practise.
Manifestation is simple: change your core subconscious beliefs and maintain them.
But you aren’t struggling because you lack ‘a secret technique.’ And you’re not far from having it—it doesn’t take time, it takes alignment.
You’re struggling because content consumption doesn’t expand your nervous system to receive what you want.
If what you wanted felt safe for your nervous system, it would already be here.
Instead, your brain uses content as a flight response—an escape from the ‘here and now’ work. This leads to a system shutdown or ‘freeze state’ because you feel overloaded by everything you think you still need to learn, understand and do.
And I haven’t seen many of my manifestations appear until I banned content consumption for myself—I was a master of watching video after video, on my walks, at the gym, YouTube all day long, podcasts, books. Anything, but feeling what’s here.

Consumption is a mask
This is why people fail: they jump to ‘mind work’ before ‘body work.’
You can affirm until you’re blue in the face, but if your nervous system views your goal as ‘unfamiliar’ or ‘unsafe,’ it will reject it to keep you alive. This is what we call self-sabotage—it’s actually just a predictable survival mechanism. Reject the unknown, because unknown is dangerous.
To manifest the ‘big’ things with heavy emotional loads, you have to stop masking your pain with more videos and start addressing the shadows that cannot step with you into your dream timeline.
You don’t have to “decode” your subconscious limiting beliefs because your current life circumstances and your body already tell you what’s there. Every reaction of your body is information about your subconscious.
It’s a reflection of that inner state or identity. So there’s no decoding needed.
The problem is that people jump straight to mind work which causes the body and the nervous system to rebel.
But there are two major fixes for that:
- Body work before mind work: Most people go all-in on affirmations and techniques without prioritising the nervous system. Even Goddard always said you must relax your body before imagining. Your nervous system which is simply your subconscious in this body, won’t accept what feels unsafe and unfamiliar, so it won’t be manifested no matter how much you imagine or affirm.
- Realising the True Self: Stop changing one false story for another, but more favourable, you don’t have to change your self-concept at all. You don’t just change from “victim” to “victor”; you must realise the True Self. Goddard emphasised this heavily in many of his books and even wrote the entire book about it which is The Power of Awareness and it’s at the core of all I talk about on this channel also.
